Hardware engineer / EPL

In this role, you have the opportunity to Being part of a product development project team and making sure that the electronics for the projects are made according to the agreements.

Your challenge is on the hardware development, testing the electronics and manage electronic projects from beginning to end in collaboration with all stakeholders.

As a Senior Electronics design Engineer you bring your knowledge of electrical circuit, PCB design and its industrialization aspects into the IPL product development teams.

You are the person that defines and executes EE planning and activities.

The Electronics designs for IPL are moving towards a single platform. You will be involved in defining that platform and keeping the platform consistent over the projects. 

You are responsible for:

• Develop, document, realize and test electrical architectures and detailed designs of innovative products and/or new functions, specifically in the field of hair removal via Intense Pulse Light technology.
• Guide the industrialization process of PCB and PCBA
• Provide support for existing products in life cycle management; prove cost down concepts, end of life component exchanges.
• Develop new and optimize existing electronic module concepts and components within cross-functional teams or you lead and control outsourcing of these activities.
• Manage the dependencies and deliverables in line with the overall project plan with external and internal partners.
• Direct and manage the electronic project from start to finish, define project scope and deliverables.
• Develop full-scale effort driven project estimation electronic customized project plan including the software and the hardware project plan.
• Instruct and Guard that the deliverables are matured and have traceability.
• Determine the progress of the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

You are a part of yhe electronics team within the Grooming & Beauty business.

The team is divided over 2 locations. This position is mainly for Eindhoven.

You will be the electrical engineer of projects or being the interface between the project core team and the Electronics team supporting all the required electronic development activities.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience.

• Background in electronics at high qualitative level (Master level or PhD level).
• 5 years experience in the electronic domain, preferable in electronics for consumer products.
• Thorough understanding of modern electronic engineering tools, methods, and processes.
• You like working in multidisciplinary teams and are capable to communicate very well with different (international) people and Asian/European suppliers.
• You have a pro-active attitude and high-quality mindset towards your assignment.
• A hands-on focus and can-do mentality.
• An abstract, analytical, and creative thinker.
• Preferable experience with developing medical devices, EMC standards and measurement techniques.
• Fluent English (written and verbal), preferably also Dutch basic knowledge.
