Tax & Compliance Accountant

As a Tax & Compliance Accountant for Germany, you are responsible for the local statutory tax compliance as well as Financial Statements. In this role, you ensure that figures are reliable and potential mistakes are identified. You will be using tools like; Hubble, JD Edwards, Tungsten, Blackline and Longview.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing VAT – Prepare, Submit, Follow up on VAT declarations.
• Managing CIT - Submit income tax declaration, Manage CIT - Adjust income tax charge position
• Process FBT - Calculate FBT costs, Create FBT statement, Submit FBT statement, Determine income tax declaration
• External Financial Statement Activities - Extract trial balance (IFRS), Create adjustments (to local GAAP), Create statutory accounts, Submit statutory accounts, Execute audit requests, Check and share audit documentation, Point of contact for auditors.
• Month-end close – Reviews as a balance owner of a set of companies the month-end figures, identifies (potential) misstatements. Ensures that all material misstatements are adjusted or reported during month-end close. 
• Month-end close Blackline - Responsible for preparing and approving reconciliations within Blackline

Looking for someone who within tax and compliance can fulfill a role in Germany. In Germany there are 2 VI employees who need support. All activities focused on Germany, to be compliant with all tax activities. Willingness to travel 2- 3 times a month to our office in Dortmund For period of training in beginning a bit more.

• A Bachelor degree in Accountancy or Business Economics / Business Administration;
• >4 years of relevant experience within an international organization or accountancy firm;
• Affinity with Tax rules and regulations;
• You understand the accounting principles according to IFRS;
• You have experience on VAT – German VAT is a plus;
• Knowledge of HGB is a plus;
• Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus
• Good communication skills;
• Eager to learn;
• You dare to ask questions;
• Fluency in English and German; 
• Willingness to travel 2- 3 times a month to our office in Dortmund For period of training in beginning a bit more.
