Looking for a Manufacturing Technician to support engineering for making proto models and for the production department for making special tools
In this cool position as a Manufacturing Technician you are both the manager of the workshop and the executor of the workshop activities. The work is very varied, including sheet metal work, bench work, drilling, milling, welding, turning and small-scale assembly assignments. You receive assignments from the engineers in the team, where each assignment can be different. For this position you also have the flexibility to organize your work how you want! About the team
The Hardware Engineering department consists of approximately 35 employees.
The primary task of this department is to develop new products for both the mechanical and electronic parts. Production preparations are also a task of Hardware Engineering. Within hardware engineering there is a workshop, for supporting both engineering for making proto models and for the production department for making special tools. The workshop is a fairly complete workshop with many different machines for both sheet metal and machining work.
Our client has a leading position in the field of highly qualified radio and network communications, command and control for defense applications and civil organizations. With approximately 200 employees. It develops, produces, installs and maintains both communication equipment and integrated communication systems from Huizen.

About you
- You have at least an LBO or MBO diploma in mechanical engineering
- At least 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- You are able to read mechanical drawings
- You have now built up practical experience in the field of the aforementioned activities such as bench work, turning, milling, drilling and cutting
- You like variety in your work and are above all curious
- You also have good communication skills and are able to work independently
- You are willing to increase your knowledge through training through Thales Nederland B.V.
- Possession of a VCA certificate is an advantage
