This work/learn-program is more than just a traineeship. You learn technical, soft and business skills. A certified coach will also assist you throughout the entire process. By combining goal-oriented skills training and real work experience, you will develop into an accomplished Engineer within two years. Hence the name Talent Development Program.
About the traineeship
The Talent Development Program Technology entails you working as a (junior) engineer at a company in our network. Alongside this work, you will also follow training geared towards specialisation and professionalisation, ensuring you grow to become an expert engineer, a good colleague and someone with whom people enjoy working.

You get to choose from a wide array of companies in YER’s extensive network, all of whom share a deep-seated passion for engineering. Based on your profile and ambitions, we will jointly select the organisation that will be the best match for you.
There, you will then work as a (junior) engineer, initially under supervision, but over the course of your traineeship you will gradually be given a greater degree of independence whilst working on challenging technical projects and assignments.
You will be given a training budget of €6,000, or €3,000 a year. In consultation between you, YER and the company at which you will be working, you will use this budget to select specialist/in-depth training pathways, all geared towards turning you into an expert over the two-year programme.
Depending on your profile and selected role, you will take training on soft skills and business skills, ensuring you develop to become an all-round professional with whom your colleagues enjoy working:

Through YER you are also able to follow in excess of 80 online training courses/sessions from New Heroes: the best way to work on your competencies whenever and wherever you like. Select training on personal effectiveness, energy & passion, team development & leadership, and more, at your leisure.
Personal coaching sessions will complete your learning process. You will work on your learning goals in targeted fashion in individual sessions with a NOBCO coach, using a personal development plan as a guideline.
Group peer supervision sessions will enable you to hear about the challenges your fellow trainees have faced and the lessons they have learned.
If selected for this Talent Development Program, you will receive a permanent contract and salary from YER from day one. At the end of the contract, 95% of our participants become permanent employees at the company where they gain their work experience. Other benefits:

Who are you?
You will have successfully completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical subject. You will also be ambitious and ready to learn a lot in a short period of time. However, we consider your motivation, personality and affinity with engineering to be the most important factors.
