When you see a product, you instantly imagine improvements to that product. After all, there is always room for improvement. Do you recognize this feeling, or are you capable of delivering innovative and inspiring ideas surrounding production processes?
KeyKeg has two open positions, of which the first focuses mainly on the development and implementation of new and existing production processes. The new employee fit for this role is willing to deep-dive into the operation to take on responsibility for several production-related improvement and adjustment initiatives.
For the Product Engineer, the main focus lies on the development of the product itself. This candidate is also required to develop and implement improvements and adjustments. Both positions include a significant emphasis on project management, entailing that you should bring solid project management capabilities to the table.
The Product Engineer is expected to deliver 'new' products and midterm reviews on time, within budget, and scope. Product specifications, concept and work drawings for products and production tools, and prototypes are additional deliverables. The Senior Process Engineer should deliver proper functioning of the product and production line combination, and optimize the effectiveness of the production line.
Both the Senior Process Engineer and Product Engineer are a part of the R&D team.
Tasks and responsibilities for the Senior Process Engineer:
- Preparing initial specifications for both equipment and process before development
- Insight into and ability to suggest improvements/adjustments to the quality of the process
- Insight into and ability to suggest improvements/adjustments to the production line
- Insight into and ability to suggest improvements/adjustments to the registration process (HMI & MES)
- Requested and unrequested advice to the management
- Actively bring in potential improvements of the product or process based on developments in the fields or pain points identified in the market
Tasks and responsibilities for the Product Engineer:
- Drawing up concept and working drawings for both product and means of production
- Realizing/testing and analyzing prototypes of products and means of production
- Drawing up product specifications on the basis of drawings and tests
- Process and machine development
Project management responsibilities for both positions:
- Coordinating & managing project team members, and external suppliers (for instance injection moulding companies & mould makers)
- Alignment with internal stakeholders (QA, Sales & Operations)
- Alignment with the purchasing team regarding pricing
- Drafting of research reports
- Transfer to operations after approval team QA (only applicable to Senior Process Engineer)

Primary terms of employment:
- An annual salary between € 70.000 and € 85.000

Both positions require a candidate possessing solid technical knowledge (e.g., regarding plastics, moulds, and injection moulding processes for the Product Engineer), while project management skills are essential in both roles.
Furthermore, the following is required of the candidate(s):
- Both candidates should have communication and presentation skills
- The Senior Process Engineer should be able to maintain a helicopter view of the activities
