For the European Hematology Association (EHA), we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller. EHA is an international, diverse organization that promotes excellence in patient care, research, and education in hematology. As a Financial Controller at EHA, you’ll be responsible for the entire financial accounting and reporting process, the annual audit, and the financial risk register. Over de functie
As a Financial Controller at EHA, you are responsible for the entire financial accounting and reporting process, the annual audit, and the financial risk register. You possess the skills to develop and roll out financial processes and procedures, ensuring the continuous growth of EHA. In this important role, you will work closely with the Head of Operations and the department heads. Further, you’ll be successful by fulfilling the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Deliver periodic financial reporting, both internal and external
- Maintain the financial manual, including continuous process review and improvements
- Maintain the financial risk control framework
- Supervise the finance officer
- Prepare the annual report and accounts
- Supervise the annual financial audit
- Initiate process improvements to adjust to rapidly changing and high demanding situations

Profiel
We are searching for a Financial Controller who can plan, prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously. You are analytical, strategic, collaborative, diplomatic, and capable of building relationships. Hence, you are an effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Further, you bring:
- A master’s degree in financial controlling, or a related field
- At least 5 years’ experience
- Demonstrated experience with RJ640
- Demonstrated experience in VAT declarations and other fiscal matters
- Working knowledge in accounting software, preferably Exact Globe
- Excellent spreadsheet skills (Excel or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written English and Dutch language skills
